For the Gulzar Urdu Nasta'liq typeface project, Simon Cozens, Dr. Borna Izadpanah, and Dr. Fiona Ross carried out independent research and spoke with Urdu language experts in Pakistan and the UK. In Urdu, Gulzar means "flower meadow."
